The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southeastern Franklin County in central Ohio...

* Until 1145 PM EDT.

* At 845 PM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain
across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are
possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include...
Columbus, Reynoldsburg, Pickerington, Canal Winchester, Groveport,
Whitehall, Obetz, Brice and Blacklick Estates.

Information:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...The following counties, in central Ohio, Fairfield,
Franklin, Madison and Pickaway. In west central Ohio, Clark.

* WHEN...Until 1145 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 836 PM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are
possible.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Columbus, Reynoldsburg, Grove City, Pickerington, Bexley,
London, Jefferson, Canal Winchester, Groveport, West
Jefferson, Lake Darby, Choctaw Lake, Whitehall, Grandview
Heights, Obetz, Lithopolis, Urbancrest, Valleyview, Lafayette
and Harrisburg.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...The following counties, in central Ohio, Fairfield,
Fayette, Franklin, Licking and Pickaway. In southwest Ohio,
Clinton and Warren.

* WHEN...Until midnight EDT tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

Information:
People in the watch area, especially those living in areas prone to
flooding, should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
Monitor the latest forecasts and be alert for possible flood
warnings.
